DJI Osmo Action 4 price and ranking

The DJI Osmo Action 4 is currently available for 219.99 € at Amazon, according to a report from Les Numériques. The French tech website conducted a comparison of 24 action cameras and named the Osmo Action 4 the best affordable option.

DJI’s recent product releases

DJI released the Osmo Action 4 less than a year after the Osmo Action 3. This follows the successful launch of DJI’s small drone, the Air 3, earlier in the summer.

Features of the Osmo Action 4

The Osmo Action 4 features a compact design, front and rear screens, waterproofing up to 18 meters without a housing, magnetic mounting, long battery life, effective digital stabilization, and compatibility with iOS and Android apps.

Limitations of the Osmo Action 4

However, the camera is limited to 4K video resolution and offers a 10 Mpx resolution in photo mode. These specifications are considered weaker compared to some competing models.

Expert opinion on the Osmo Action 4

Les Numériques notes that while the Osmo Action 4 provides excellent image quality for both photography and video, it lacks major new features or significant improvements over its predecessor.

Recommendation for current Osmo Action 3 owners

The outlet suggests that users who already own an Osmo Action 3 should consider waiting for the next version instead of upgrading. Despite its strengths, the Osmo Action 4 needs improvements in image resolution to better compete with models from GoPro.
