ARC Raiders, a popular action-strategy game, is set to receive a major update called Frozen Trail, scheduled for release on October 8. This update will introduce a new map, several new playable characters known as ARC units, a new raid mission, and various other enhancements. The highlight of Frozen Trail is the new map, Pendola Pass, a snowy region that expands the game's world and introduces new areas for exploration. Players will be able to embark on a new raid mission set on a Frigate, a ship that players can infiltrate after the fall of an Emperor to extract rare resources while battling ARC units. Pendola Pass is described as a haunting, icy landscape surrounded by the Rust Belt. The area features remnants of a forgotten civilization, including a supermarket and an abandoned village square. Signs of the Exodus project, a fictional research initiative in the game’s lore, are also present, such as an observatory and a buried transportation hub that once played a crucial role in the game's storyline. In addition to the new map, Frozen Trail will introduce three new ARC units: the Tyrant, the Wanderer, and the Hydra. These characters bring new abilities and strategies to the game. The update will also upgrade the research station at the game’s outpost, allowing players to unlock a fifth level of quality for weapon upgrades. This new tier will not only improve weapons' performance but also grant them new abilities and functionalities, offering players more strategic options in combat. Frozen Trail promises to bring a range of improvements and new content to ARC Raiders, enhancing both gameplay and the game’s world. The update will be available on October 8 for PC, Xbox Series, and PS5 platforms.
