Skoda has introduced its new Peaq, a seven-seat electric SUV that marks the brand's largest and most spacious production vehicle to date. Priced starting at £51,980, the Peaq is designed to offer a blend of luxury, performance, and practicality. With a 2,965mm wheelbase, it provides ample interior space, and it is equipped with an 86kWh battery that allows for a maximum claimed range of 390 miles. This makes it suitable for long-distance travel, supported by a fast-charging capability that can take the battery from 10 to 80 percent in just 28 minutes on a suitable rapid charger. The Peaq offers two powertrain options: the rear-wheel-drive Peaq 90, which delivers 282bhp, and the all-wheel-drive Peaq 90x, which offers 295bhp and can accelerate from 0 to 62mph in 6.8 seconds. Inside, the vehicle features a panoramic roof, a 13.6-inch portrait touchscreen, and an optional 16-speaker Sonos audio system for premium sound quality. The Relax Package includes electrically adjustable heated seats with massage functions and legrests, enhancing comfort for long journeys. The interior of the Peaq is described as stylish and well-made, with five different interior Design Selections available to suit various tastes. The third-row seating is genuinely usable, even for taller passengers, and the car provides 299 liters of boot space when all seven seats are in use. The Peaq also includes a range of assistance technologies, such as traffic sign recognition, front assist, and predictive adaptive cruise control, which help improve safety and driving convenience. Priced starting at £51,980 for the rear-wheel-drive SE L 90 variant, the Peaq's higher trims can cost up to £60,380. While it is often compared to the Range Rover Electric, the Peaq offers a more affordable alternative without compromising on size, comfort, or performance. This new model positions Skoda as a strong contender in the growing electric SUV market, appealing to buyers looking for a spacious, feature-rich, and reasonably priced electric vehicle.
