Kia has unveiled the first images of its new fully electric commercial vehicle, the PV7, nearly a year after launching the PV5. The announcement was made on August 31, 2026, through a company statement. The PV7 is expected to share a similar overall shape with the PV5, but some design details remain hidden in the released photos. While the front of the PV7 mirrors the curved design of the PV5, the bumper is different. The placement of the main headlights is still unclear, as they are not centered under a body-colored strip like on the PV5. The PV7 is anticipated to offer more space and enhanced capabilities compared to its smaller sibling. The PV7 concept, first shown at CES 2024, measures 5.27 meters in length, 2.06 meters in width, and 2.12 meters in height—making it almost 60 centimeters longer than the PV5. The PV5 currently offers a range of 295 kilometers on the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) with its "M" battery (51.5 kWh) and up to 416 kilometers with the larger "L" battery (71.2 kWh). Kia hopes the PV7 will include an even more powerful battery option, potentially using the 81.4 kWh battery from the EV3, EV4, and EV5 or the 99.8 kWh battery from the EV9. Kia claims the PV7 will cater to a broader range of commercial and leisure needs, possibly including a camper van version to compete with models like the Volkswagen ID. California Cruise, which is based on the ID. Buzz. The official debut of the Kia PV7 is set for September 14, 2026, at the IAA Transportation fair in Hanover, Germany. This event is a major showcase for commercial vehicles and will give the public a closer look at the PV7’s full design and features.
