Apple unveils new watch models

Apple has released the Apple Watch Series 12 and the Apple Watch Ultra 4, aiming to attract a wider range of consumers with new health monitoring and artificial intelligence features. The Series 12 sits between the more affordable Apple Watch SE 3 and the Ultra 4, which is tailored for outdoor enthusiasts.

New pricing for Series 12

Boulanger is offering the Apple Watch Series 12 for under 400 euros starting at the beginning of Black Friday. Boulanger Club members can get an additional 50 euro discount, bringing the price of the 42 mm GPS model down to 399 euros.

Enhanced display and design

The Apple Watch Series 12 features an OLED screen with a peak brightness of up to 2000 nits, making it highly readable in bright sunlight. It can also dim to 1 nit for use in the dark. The watch has a thin aluminum body measuring 9.7 mm and is waterproof up to 50 meters with an IP6X dust resistance rating.

Advanced health tracking features

The Series 12 includes an improved heart sensor with an expanded electrode for more accurate ECG readings. It measures heart rate every five seconds and tracks SpO2, body temperature, heart rate variability, and sleep. A new readiness score helps users determine if they are ready for exercise or need rest.

Battery life and charging

Despite its advanced features, the Apple Watch Series 12 still has a battery life of 24 hours, requiring a daily charge. However, fast charging can provide 80% of the battery in about 30 minutes, offering convenience for users.
