Huawei releases new connected accessories

Huawei recently announced the release of five new connected accessories, with the Huawei Watch 6 being one of the highlights. This smartwatch is designed to integrate health monitoring with both sports and everyday use, offering a range of features aimed at fitness enthusiasts and casual users alike.

Price reduction on Amazon

The Huawei Watch 6 is currently available on Amazon with a 50 euro discount. Initially priced at 449.99 euros, the watch’s price has dropped to 399.99 euros less than a month after its launch, making it more accessible to potential buyers.

Design and technical specifications

The watch is described as having an elegant and versatile design. It features a high-precision health tracking system and a battery life that can last several days. The 42 mm and 46 mm versions offer different color options and screen sizes, with the 46 mm model including a larger 1.5 inch OLED display.

Enhanced sensor and health reporting

A notable improvement over previous models is the X-TAP sensor, which Huawei claims is twice as reactive as on the Watch 5. A 3-second press on the sensor launches a health report that includes up to 11 indicators, categorized into four groups, providing users with detailed health insights.

Battery life and power-saving mode

The battery life of the Huawei Watch 6 is up to 3 days for the 42 mm version and 4.5 days for the 46 mm in normal use. The power-saving mode extends this to 7 and 11 days, respectively, but disables features such as Wi-Fi, gestures, the health report, and the X-TAP sensor.

Sports tracking capabilities

The watch is capable of tracking a variety of sports, including basketball, tennis, golf, freediving (up to 40 meters), and skiing. These additional features are expected to be available through a future software update, expanding the watch’s appeal to active users.
