Samsung's Galaxy A series, a line of mid-range smartphones, has proven to be a popular choice among consumers, with the Galaxy A17 being one of its best-selling models. This success suggests that the upcoming Galaxy A18 may follow a similar path. Recent leaks indicate that the Galaxy A18 could be released soon, with 3D renderings showing a design similar to its predecessor. Samsung has also created support pages for the Galaxy A18 on its Irish, British, and Caribbean websites, listing the model number SM-A185F, which is believed to be a 4G version with dual SIM support. The Galaxy A18 is expected to maintain a 6.7-inch OLED Full HD+ screen with a 90 Hz refresh rate and a water drop notch for the front-facing camera. It would weigh 193 grams and be 7.7 mm thick, making it relatively lightweight and slim. Internally, the device is likely to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 processor, a chip previously used in the Galaxy A15. The camera system would consist of a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. The phone is also expected to come with a large 5,000 mAh battery, supporting up to 25 watts of wired charging. The Galaxy A18 would be available in three colors: black, light blue, and silver. It would run on One UI 9, which is based on Android 17. The base model is expected to cost around 299 euros, a price increase compared to the Galaxy A17's 199 euros at launch. This price hike may be due to higher memory costs. A 5G version of the Galaxy A18, featuring a Snapdragon chip instead of an Exynos chip, is also anticipated, but it might not be released until early next year. A Danish reseller has announced that the Galaxy A18 will be available for purchase starting October 8, which suggests an official launch date in late September or early October. However, this information comes from an early commercial sheet and is not an official Samsung release. The Galaxy A17 4G was launched in September 2025, and the Galaxy A18 may follow a similar schedule.
