Xiaomi lowers price of robot vacuum

The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20 Pro is now available for 269.99 euros, representing a 22% discount compared to the average price of the product last month. The price reduction is calculated by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices practiced by all merchants for the product last month, with safety rules to exclude prices from shops whose VAT policy is not clear.

Features of the X20 Pro

The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20 Pro includes a station that empties dust, cleans the mops, and fills with water. It provides effective suction on hard floors and thin carpets, detecting carpets to increase its power and raise its mops.

Robot’s capabilities and weaknesses

The robot features methodical navigation and autonomy suitable for large areas, with discreet operation. However, it has some weaknesses, including a bulky station, less effective suction on long-pile carpets, average cleaning performance, poor detection of cables and textiles, and no hot water cleaning of mops.

Xiaomi’s incremental improvement

The X20 Pro is not considered a revolution, even for Xiaomi, but it addresses the main defect of the X20+ by detecting carpets. It does not perform much better with obstacles, but it remains an effective and methodical robot for keeping floors clean, though the cleaning results leave a little to be desired.

Alternative robot vacuum

An alternative to the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X20 Pro is the Eureka J15 Pro Ultra, which is a versatile robot effective for both cleaning and vacuuming, adapting to all types of floors and requiring little user intervention with its retractable mops and multifunctional station. However, the station is bulky, and while the manufacturer offers an effective navigation system, the AI intended to allow the robot to detect and avoid small obstacles is somewhat disappointing, requiring the house to be tidied up beforehand.
