A firearms officer with the Metropolitan Police has been dismissed after using offensive language and criticizing colleagues in a podcast. PC Idominik Efeotor, who previously worked in the Parliamentary & Diplomatic Protection Command—responsible for guarding the House of Commons—was sacked following a misconduct hearing on Monday. The decision came after he used harsh and derogatory language about fellow officers in his podcast, which he titled "The Good, The Bad, The Ugly." In the podcast, Efeotor criticized colleagues, calling them "corrupt," "liars," "wastemen," and "b****holes." He had earlier been featured in promotional material for the Metropolitan Police but later accused colleagues of racism. In one episode, he quoted colleagues saying, "If I turned the lights off would I still see you? Why are you talking?" This kind of language was seen as unprofessional and damaging to the force's reputation. In a TikTok video, Efeotor denied using the term "wasteman" to describe a Directorate of Professional Standards officer, instead calling them "b****holes." He also criticized a senior officer for commenting on two officers not wearing body armor and hats on duty. Efeotor said, "Not every day do we need to critique something. If someone is giving plaudits to the Metropolitan Police, a service that very rarely gets them because they have a bunch of 'b*** holes inside. If these two men are representing the way they should—shut up rude boy!" His remarks were seen as disrespectful and unbecoming of a police officer. A Metropolitan Police spokesman said Efeotor's posts included offensive, insulting, and derogatory language directed at officers, staff, and individuals. The force also noted that he had discussed sensitive information related to misconduct proceedings. Efeotor had initially disclosed his podcast as a business interest but later withdrew that permission. Despite this, he continued to publish episodes about his experiences as an officer. Efeotor was dismissed without notice. Commander Adam Slonecki, head of Specialist Operations, stated that Efeotor's behavior undermined public confidence in the Met and had a harmful impact on those he criticized and his colleagues. He added that there is no place in policing for someone whose values are so far removed from the expected standards. Efeotor will now be placed on the College of Policing Barred List, which prevents him from working in policing in the future. A fundraiser to help him secure specialist legal representation had raised more than half of its £7,000 target.
