Rokid, a company known for its work in augmented reality and artificial intelligence, is launching its products in France. The company has introduced two main products: the Rokid AI Glasses with display and the Rokid AI Glasses Style Pack without a display. The launch took place at the SILMO fair, a major event in the world of optics held in Villepinte. This move follows Rokid's entry into the German market and marks its effort to build a stronger presence in Europe. Zoro Shao, the Global General Manager of Rokid, said the company aims to support the development of smart glasses that integrate artificial intelligence into everyday and professional life. The Rokid AI Glasses with display include a binocular augmented reality display powered by the Qualcomm AR1 platform. The glasses weigh 49 grams and feature real-time translation, transcription, and a voice assistant that works with major artificial intelligence models like GPT and Gemini. They use a monochrome green micro-LED display with a 30-degree field of view and up to 1,500 nits of brightness. The glasses also include a 12-megapixel Sony IMX681 camera and support Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. According to Rokid, the glasses can last 8 to 10 hours with mixed use, but only 2 hours if the display is constantly on. The Rokid AI Glasses Style Pack are designed for more casual use and lack a built-in display. These glasses focus on voice interaction and support 12 languages for spoken interaction and up to 86 languages for translation. Rokid describes them as a helpful tool for daily tasks, travel, and content creation. To support these glasses, the company is offering two special sets: the Travel Sets, which include accessories like sunglasses, photochromic lenses, a charging case, and a cable. Rokid differentiates itself from competitors by focusing on an open ecosystem. Unlike some connected glasses, such as the Ray-Ban Meta, which are limited to specific platforms, Rokid's glasses allow users to switch between different artificial intelligence engines. This approach is based on a platform called the Open AI Ecosystem, which supports multiple large language models simultaneously. To support this, Rokid introduced AIUI Studio at the IFA fair in Berlin in September 2026. This tool lets developers create spatial AI applications by simply describing their ideas in natural language. A built-in simulator allows developers to test these applications without owning the glasses. Rokid reports that its developer community has over 35,000 members, and its Rokid Agent Store offers more than 500 agents. For distribution in France, Rokid has partnered with Krys Opticians, a well-known optical brand in France with a history of over 60 years. The partnership will be rolled out gradually across a dozen stores in the network. The Rokid AI Glasses with display are priced at 699 euros, while the Rokid AI Glasses Style Pack are available for 499 euros. Rokid is also offering limited-time launch deals on two sets: the Rokid AI Glasses Travel Set with display is available for pre-order at 649 euros, including a sunglass clip and travel accessories. The Rokid Style Travel Set, without a display, is priced at 449 euros, including a charging case, photochromic lenses, and other accessories. These offers are available through the brand's official website between September 25 and October 22, 2026, with shipments starting on October 25.
