Kyle Abraham's "White Space" debuts in Paris

White Space, a new dance production by Kyle Abraham, premiered in Paris from 9 to 12 December 2026 at the TDV Sarah Bernhardt theater. The performance is part of Abraham’s ongoing exploration of contemporary dance and its intersections with various cultural and artistic influences.

Dancers and musicians showcase diverse talents

The production features eleven dancers skilled in urban, contemporary, and classical dance styles, supported by two pianists who perform original compositions by Jason Moran and Nico Muhly. The piece delves into themes of a troubled world and questions the possibility of a more inclusive and accepting society.

Collaborators and creative team

The choreography is a collaboration between Kyle Abraham and A.I.M, with original music by Jason Moran and Nico Muhly. The lighting design is by Dan Scully, and the set design is by Glenn Ligon, while costumes are designed by Reid Bartelme and Harriet Jung. Charlotte Brathwaite provides dramaturgical guidance, and Risa Steinberg offers artistic advice.
