Game demo available on multiple platforms
A demo of CRYMELIGHT, an action roguelike game described by its publishers as a "dark bishoujo," is now available on PlayStation 5, Switch 2, and PC via Steam. The announcement was made by publisher FuRyu and developer Winning Entertainment Group. The full game will be released on November 5 on the same platforms.Demo content and limitations
The demo allows players to experience the beginning of the game up to the end of chapter 1, enabling them to test the story, combat, and all systems. Save data from the demo cannot be transferred to the full game, and content and technical specifications may still change without prior notice.Game's setting and themes
The game is set in a world located after death, where young girls bear the weight of their sins. The more they repent, the stronger they become. The fully dubbed story focuses on revealing the past of each heroine, her regrets, and her penance.Cast and creative team
The scenario is supervised by Naoki Hisaya, the music is composed by Sakuzyo, and the characters are drawn by YOGISYA. The game's tagline summarizes its tone: "I will give meaning to these sins." The cast includes characters from Alice in Wonderland, each with unique voices and motivations.Gameplay mechanics
In terms of gameplay, CRYMELIGHT is an action roguelike: the player traverses the Queen's realm, Wonderland, avoiding her adversaries and facing her royal army until death. When an enemy is killed, an "Indigo Wonder Dimension" spreads across the battlefield. As it expands, the character's abilities increase and the action accelerates.Poker system and strategy
The game also includes a poker system. The player collects five skill cards to form hands like in poker. The stronger the combination, the more powerful the effect, with different attacks and tactics available. The choice of cards to keep and hands to aim for can make the difference between victory and defeat.Repentance and progression
The repentance system allows the player to confess sins carried during deadly battles and transform them into power. Alice takes on the sins of the lost souls she will defeat along the way, and their tears of penance become items for improvement. The materials obtained are then used to strengthen weapons and accessories.View selection and immersion
A view selection mode allows players to choose between a close-up side camera and a wide overhead view, and to display or hide the information interface. Each player can thus prioritize immersion or game data consultation.Tea parties and character interaction
Between battles, tea parties provide an opportunity to chat with companions. The young girls discuss their past and may reveal surprising details about defeated enemies.Language and voice options
CRYMELIGHT will feature text in Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean, with Japanese voices.
