Winter flight network expands

Brussels Airport has unveiled its winter 2026-2027 flight network, which includes 136 direct destinations. The plan aims to serve both travelers seeking warm climates and those interested in northern destinations, such as those looking for winter sports or Arctic experiences.

New destinations added

New destinations for the winter season include Nantes, Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle, Kemi-Tornio, and Evenes. These additions are part of four new routes being introduced, with several airlines increasing their flight frequencies to meet demand.

Brussels Airlines expands to northern routes

Brussels Airlines is adding flights to northern destinations, including Kittilä in Finnish Lapland, with up to three weekly flights from December 10 to March 27. These routes are now being offered as regular services, following earlier charter flights to the Arctic region.

Other airlines increase services

Transavia will add flights to Las Palmas, Reykjavik, and Porto, while Finnair will also serve Kittilä. Etihad Airways is increasing its service from Abu Dhabi from seven to eleven weekly flights starting December 15, further expanding the airport's international reach.

Passenger expectations and travel advice

Brussels Airport expects more than 1.7 million passengers during the autumn holidays, with a peak of around 82,000 travelers on October 16. Travelers are advised to arrive two hours before flights within the Schengen area and three hours before international departures to account for potential delays.
