Moustache has updated its popular urban electric bicycle, the Lundi 27, which first appeared in 2012 as the Lundi 26 and was renamed the Lundi 27 in 2022. The 2026 version features a redesigned frame and uses Bosch's Hub Line motor, which is mounted in the rear wheel instead of the pedals. This motor provides 45 Nm of torque and can deliver up to 400 watts of power, while weighing just 2.4 kg. According to Moustache, this motor is ideal for city riding, offering quick acceleration at traffic lights and efficient commuting without requiring much physical effort. It also integrates with Bosch’s ecosystem, allowing for connected features and a Turbo mode that delivers an extra power boost when needed. The Lundi 27 is powered by a Bosch PowerTube battery with a 360 Wh capacity, contributing to the bike’s sleek and modern look. Moustache claims the battery can power the bike for about 70 kilometers in the city, or around four hours of continuous riding. Using the standard 4A charger, the battery can reach 50% charge in 54 minutes and be fully charged in two hours. The bike is 3.5 kg lighter than its predecessor, now weighing 24 kg. This weight reduction is achieved through a redesigned diagonal frame tube and a lower frame straddle, which Moustache says improves handling and makes the bike easier to carry. The battery can be removed using an adjustable strap, a feature developed specifically by Moustache. The Lundi 27 offers two transmission options: a 9-speed Shimano Cues chain version, which weighs 24.1 kg, and a single-speed Gates belt version, weighing 23.8 kg. The bike retains Moustache’s signature handlebar, double-wall aluminum fenders, and is assembled in the Vosges region of France. It can support a total weight of 150 kg, including the rider. The standard Lundi 27 is priced at 2,399 euros and is available in four colors: Avocat Brillant, Lavande Mat, Gris Pierre Brillant, and Noir Brillant. A limited-edition version, the Lundi 27 Launch Edition, is also available, with only 270 units produced at 2,899 euros. This special edition includes a chromatic blue color, reflective stickers, a Bosch Connect Module, a front rack, a U bracket, a smartphone grip, and a 10-speed Shimano Cues transmission. The Lundi 27 is available in two sizes, suitable for riders between 155 and 190 cm tall. Production has already begun, and the bike has been on sale in stores since September 15, 2026. The older Lundi 27 ES model is being phased out of the product line. Although the Lundi 27 is more expensive than basic electric bikes sold by retailers like Decathlon and Intersport, it offers a more accessible entry point for Moustache’s brand while maintaining the high-quality assembly in the Vosges and the company’s reputation for craftsmanship.
