Amflow launches new e-road bike

In 2024, Amflow, with support from DJI, introduced its second generation of electric mountain bikes (e-MTBs) and its first e-road bike, the Amflow TL Carbon. The bike was unveiled at Eurobike 2026 and became available for purchase on October 26, priced at 3,499 €. It received a rare perfect score of 10/10 after testing, sparking interest in whether it could become the top model in its category.

Technical specifications of the Amflow TL Carbon

The Amflow TL Carbon is powered by an in-house DJI Avinox M2 motor with 1,100 W of power and 125 Nm of torque (110 Nm continuous). It also includes a touchscreen, a comprehensive app, and an included alarm. Major competitors in the market include Bosch, Shimano, Panasonic, Bafang, and Gobao, each offering their own versions of e-bikes with varying features and performance levels.

Competitor models and their features

The Hepha All Mountain 7 Alloy Long Range SUV, from Gobao, is a strong competitor priced at 3,599 €. It has a central P101 motor with 100 Nm of torque, a 708 Wh battery, and a mechanical transmission. It also offers a more aggressive suspension setup with 150 mm of travel, making it better suited for off-road use than the Amflow TL Carbon. Amflow, however, includes a fast 12 A charger and an Avinox autonomy extender of 480 Wh, increasing the total battery capacity to 1,280 Wh.

Other e-road bike models in the market

The Moustache Xroad FS 2, a French competitor, is priced at 3,799 € and features a Bosch Performance Line motor with 75 Nm of torque, a 540 Wh battery, and a 9-speed mechanical transmission. The O2feel Vern FS 7 Adventure, priced at 3,299 €, includes a 4-year warranty and an integrated chaincase, but uses a Shimano EP6 motor with 85 Nm of torque and a 500 W power output.

International competitors and their features

The Crussis ONE-Country Full 10.12, from the Czech Republic, features a Panasonic GXM motor with 110 Nm of torque but is limited to 700 W of power. It includes an 800 Wh battery, a fast charger, an SRAM 12-speed derailleur, and Supernova lighting, and is priced at 3,849 €. These models highlight the variety of options available in the e-road bike market.

Market position and color options

The Amflow TL Carbon is currently available in only one color: a neutral matte beige. In contrast, its competitors offer a wider range of color options. This limited palette may affect consumer choice, even though the bike's performance and design have been praised in testing.

Amflow's brand history and market presence

Amflow and its Avinox motor are relatively new, having launched in 2024. The brand initially released the PL Carbon, an e-MTB priced at 6,499 €, before introducing more affordable models like the PR and PX. Compared to established market leaders like Bosch or Shimano, Amflow’s network of partners and overall experience are still developing.

Sales strategy and long-term outlook

The Amflow TL Carbon is primarily sold online with home delivery, though approved resellers are also used. These resellers handle assembly, final adjustments, and after-sales support. While the bike has shown strong performance on paper and during testing, its long-term durability is yet to be proven. If it proves reliable, it could significantly challenge the dominance of current market leaders.
