Battlefield 6 Season 5 launch details

Battlefield 6 has launched its Season 5 with a major update and a bundle of free content, including two new maps and four new weapons. The update, named Siege of Vegas, is available on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC, and includes the 2.1.1.0 update, which brings a large amount of new features and a number of fixes.

New maps and map updates

Among the new features, the arrival of three new maps themed around Vegas and the region of Nevada is notable. At the launch of the season, players will be able to enjoy the Vegas Strip and the famous secret base of Nevada, Area 51. Later, the European Casino map will make its debut, followed by the rework of the Blackwell Fields and New Sobek City maps.

New weapons and vehicles

Season 5 of Battlefield 6 will also add nearly six new weapons, four of which will be available at launch, as well as two new vehicles: an armored truck and an airplane. In addition, several temporary game modes will be included, as well as two collaborations. One will be a full event with Dead Space and will even offer a new game mode, while the other will be a partnership with Platoon, an absolutely cult war film, and will offer mainly cosmetic packs.

Release dates for maps and content

The new maps of the season 5 of Battlefield 6 are available at launch on October 13, 2026: Vegas Strip, which includes all combat formats, land vehicles, and helicopters, combining large spaces for motorized battles and close combat zones such as casinos, fountains, zip lines on rooftops, hotel towers, and rain drains. Area 51, a secret military base in the desert, is designed for large-scale combat with jets, helicopters, and tanks.

Additional weapons and game modes

The new weapons, gadgets, and vehicles of the season 5 of Battlefield 6 include the Mk 24, a more powerful assault rifle at long range, compensated by a limited magazine; the RSPR, a very compact personal defense weapon with strong stopping power, more effective at a distance than most of its competitors, but with more recoil; the Z84M, a light belt machine gun designed for close combat, with 100 rounds and a wide choice of accessories; and the ELR-40, a versatile bolt-action sniper rifle, whose single-shot mode brings the optimal distance for engagement. These are available on October 13, 2026.

New game modes and events

The events of the season 5 of Battlefield 6 include Rapid Royale, a new fast game mode for REDSEC, where eliminations provide redeployments, on several maps including Vegas Strip and Mirak Valley, with fewer players, drops with the best loot in the game, and the fastest fire circle. Ranked Battle Royale, the ranked mode, leaves Battlefield Labs for an official launch, with new rewards and redesigned rank badges. Battlefield x Dead Space is a temporary game mode themed around the famous EA horror game with many exclusive rewards. Casino Heist is a new objective-based mode on the European Casino map in particular. Freezeout is a new game mode themed around winter.
