JBL has introduced the PartyBox Ultimate 2, a high-end speaker system set to release on October 6, 2026, with a price of 1,599 euros. This new model offers a significant upgrade in power, delivering 1,500 watts of output—36% more than the previous version, the PartyBox Ultimate, which had 1,100 watts. The speaker has been redesigned with advanced acoustic components, including two PEN tweeters with horns inspired by JBL's professional audio systems, two 5-inch midrange drivers, two 10-inch woofers, and two bass ports. JBL claims this configuration results in a broader soundstage, deeper bass, and improved vocal clarity, allowing the sound to carry further. The PartyBox Ultimate 2 includes AI Sound Boost technology, which continuously analyzes the audio signal to enhance performance and minimize distortion, even when playing at maximum volume. It is also the first PartyBox model to feature an integrated touchscreen, enabling users to view the current track and adjust settings. The volume knob is touch-sensitive and provides access to music, lighting, and main settings. New lighting effects, synchronized with the music, include concentric wave patterns on the front panel, multi-layer lighting, and floor projection, adding a visual element to the audio experience. An EasySing AI Vocal Removal function allows users to remove voices from music tracks to create karaoke versions, which can be used with JBL's EasySing microphones. The speaker supports a wide range of connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth LE Audio, Auracast, AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, and an optical input for connecting a television. It also includes an XLR input for DJ equipment and supports lossless audio playback via USB-C. The speaker is designed for portability, featuring large wheels and a reinforced handle, and it is IPX4 certified for splash resistance. The PartyBox Ultimate 2 will be available for purchase on October 6, 2026. It will face competition from the Sony ULT Tower Max, which claims a power output of 2,150 watts, making it a direct rival in the high-end audio market.
