Dyson has introduced a new line of robotic vacuum cleaners called Nurovi, along with an upgraded version of its PencilWash floor cleaner, at IFA 2026, a major international consumer electronics exhibition. The new models aim to compete with other leading brands in the smart home cleaning sector, such as Dreame and Roborock.
The Nurovi R1 Dry is the most affordable of the three models, priced at 549 euros. It emphasizes strong suction power of 21,000 Pa, which is measured in Pascals and indicates the vacuum’s ability to lift dirt. The robot uses a Piezo sensor to automatically adjust suction power based on the surface it’s cleaning. It also includes an extendable side brush and a bagless cyclone station that can hold up to 90 days of collected dust, reducing the need for frequent emptying.
The Nurovi R2 Wash+Dry, priced at 849 euros, builds on the R1 by adding two triangular Reuleaux mops, which are designed to clean hard-to-reach corners. These mops automatically lift when encountering carpets and are washed and dried in the base station. The Nurovi R3 Spot+Scrub UV, the most expensive model at 1,199 euros, features even stronger suction, increasing to 30,000 Pa, and includes a UV light and green lighting to help users spot stains. However, Dyson does not claim the UV light has disinfecting properties.
The PencilWash W1, a separate product intended for hard floors, has been upgraded with an increased roller containing 84,000 fibers for better cleaning performance. It also includes an anti-entanglement comb, twelve hydration points to keep the floor clean and damp, and increased battery life, allowing it to run for 45 minutes instead of 30. It is now available for purchase at 349 euros.
While the Nurovi R3 Spot+Scrub UV is a significant upgrade from the earlier Spot+Scrub Ai model tested by Clubic, it remains uncertain whether it will fix the navigation and mapping issues that were previously observed. Dyson’s latest robotic vacuum lineup shows its continued investment in the home automation market, aiming to offer advanced features that cater to a range of consumer needs.
