Finding a **PS5 Pro** at its recommended price has become complicated. The console was previously available at Fnac for 899.99 euros, though Fnac's stock of PS5 Pro units priced at this amount has already been exhausted. However, it is worth checking the product page, as this temporary return suggests the possibility of future restocks, and units may also reappear following order cancellations. Be sure to confirm that the offer is sold by Fnac at the recommended price, as third-party sellers may take over at significantly higher prices. Spending nearly 900 euros for a console was already a hesitation. However, it is now necessary to find one at this price. By late August, it was observed that the PS5 Pro was beginning to be scarce at several major French retailers, with extended delivery times and third-party sellers taking advantage of shortages to inflate their prices. The anticipation surrounding GTA 6 adds to these tensions, although it alone does not explain them, as stock levels were already very limited before the GTA 6 release wave. Fnac is once again offering the console at 899.99 euros, its current recommended price — far from the extreme prices recently relayed by some third-party merchants. The **PS5 Pro**, launched by Sony as the ultimate version of its console, doubles the promises of the standard version. It features a much faster graphics processor and primarily relies on PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution), an AI technology that performs real-time upscaling. The objective is simple: to no longer have to choose between the fluidity of 60 frames per second in Performance mode and the visual detail of Fidelity mode. The model offers sharper backgrounds, better ray tracing, and more realistic lighting effects. In addition to these hardware performance features, it includes a comfortable 2 To SSD storage space, compared to only 1 To for the standard PS5. Note, however, two important details: at this price, the console is delivered without a physical disc drive — the market was clearly already ready for GTA 6 and its boxed codes. To play your physical games or Blu-ray discs, you will need to purchase a separate, removable external disc drive. At 899.99 euros, the **PS5 Pro** remains expensive. This restock will mainly interest those who had already decided to equip themselves and were waiting to find the console at its normal price. The amounts demanded by some third-party sellers do not make this price any softer, but they provide a good reason to monitor the restocks of the retailers. For GTA 6, the Pro should mainly allow for better visual rendering. It will be necessary to wait for comparisons to precisely measure the gap with the standard PS5: buying the most expensive model does not guarantee the ability to play Vice City at 60 frames per second. If you already own a PS5 and this game is the sole motivation for the change, waiting to see what the Pro version actually brings is entirely reasonable.
