Peugeot upgrades standard features without raising prices

Peugeot has announced that it is improving the standard equipment of its vehicles without increasing their prices, according to a report. The French automaker has replaced its Allure and GT trims with Allure Plus and GT Plus, which offer more comfort, safety, and technology features at the same cost.

New features include connected services and safety upgrades

The brand revealed on September 30, 2026, that this change provides customers with up to 1,750 euros in added value depending on the models and trims. The connected services subscription, Connect Plus, now lasts four years before renewal, up from six months previously. This applies to all Peugeot passenger vehicles, including the 208, 308, and 5008.

Some models have seen price increases despite the upgrades

Peugeot confirmed to Que Choisir that as of October 1, 2026, prices have not changed compared to the previous prices from September 1, 2026. However, some price increases were expected, as the Allure and GT versions had been revised earlier for certain engines. The 100% electric versions remained an exception, with the Peugeot E-308 Allure priced at 44,000 euros on June 1, 2026, and still at that price as of the current Allure Plus.

Specific models show increased prices compared to earlier periods

Other models have seen price increases compared to previous periods: a 208 Allure Plus hybrid 145 is now priced at 27,350 euros, which is 450 euros more than on June 1, 2026. The 3008 Allure Plus hybrid 145 is priced at 41,300 euros, up from 40,500 euros on May 4, 2026. Similarly, the 308 GT Plus hybrid 145 is 800 euros more than the previous GT version.

Customer advantages vary and are not always straightforward to calculate

Peugeot acknowledges that customer advantages are sometimes significant, such as the 208 Allure Plus hybrid 145 being cheaper than the previous Allure version with the same equipment. For the 3008 Allure Plus, the advantage is 1,470 euros compared to the same model on May 4, 2026, with the same options. However, Peugeot warns that the valuation of these advantages cannot be completely reliable by simply adding the prices of the old options.

Peugeot’s upgrades aim to align models with customer expectations

The enhancement of equipment was not intended to gain an advantage over the competition, according to a recent article by Auto Infos, which cited the general manager of Peugeot as having identified a gap between the positioning of certain models and their level of equipment through comparisons and market feedback.
