Six traffickers arrested
Six individuals were arrested on Monday, October 26, in a joint operation in France and Spain for their involvement in drug trafficking between Toulouse and Spain. The operation was announced this Thursday by the prosecutor's office in Toulouse, which described the suspects as having distributed approximately three tons of drugs, including cannabis, over a period of slightly more than one year.Suspects have prior legal records
Five of the arrested individuals—four men and one woman aged between 22 and 43—were already known to the justice system. They were brought before an investigating judge in Toulouse on Thursday after the prosecutor's office requested their formal investigation and provisional detention, according to a statement.Main organizer arrested in Spain
A sixth suspect, a 32-year-old man from Toulouse, was arrested in Catalonia, Spain. He was considered by investigators as "one of the main organizers" of the trafficking. He was found in possession of drugs and several weapons and ammunition. France has requested his extradition, according to the same source.Drugs sold on Telegram
The drugs were sold on the messaging app Telegram. From Spain, the narcotics were transported by road to Toulouse, where they were stored, packaged into parcels, and then resold on Telegram through deal points in the Occitanie region or sent to consumers via a delivery platform to Belgium, Italy, Poland, or other regions of France.Network imported three tons of narcotics
Investigators from the judicial police in Toulouse estimated that the network had imported approximately three tons of narcotics into France between December 2024 and February 2026. The investigation began after the arrest of a nurse in May, which led to a judicial inquiry for "importation, acquisition, possession, transportation, and offering or selling of narcotics, as well as money laundering related to narcotics trafficking."
