Starting from July 1, 2027, travelers will be able to fly from Montpellier to Bristol with two weekly flights, on Thursdays and Sundays. easyJet, an airline that already operates flights from Montpellier to several UK destinations, is expanding its services with this new route to Bristol. Reginald Otten, deputy director of easyJet for France, said the airline is growing its network to meet demand for short trips to appealing cities, following the popularity of UK connections this summer. Montpellier Méditerranée Airport is adding this new international link to improve travel options for people in eastern Occitanie, making it easier for them to visit the UK and for British visitors to reach the region. The flight takes about two hours and will connect passengers to cities in southwest England and Wales, including Bristol, Bath, and Cardiff. The increased accessibility of Montpellier and the Languedoc-Camargue region for British travelers is expected to bring new economic benefits to the area, creating opportunities for businesses and tourism. Emmanuel Brehmer, chairman of Montpellier Méditerranée Airport, said the new route to Bristol shows easyJet's growing presence in Montpellier and its confidence in the region’s potential. He added that the route helps the airport become more internationally connected and provides new opportunities for both local residents and British visitors, boosting the area’s appeal and economic growth. Travelers can find more information and make bookings on easyJet's website at www.easyjet.com or on the airport’s website at www.montpellier.aeroport.fr.
