Hisense has unveiled the Hisense 7i, a smart washing machine that combines artificial intelligence (AI) and voice control to offer a more efficient and user-friendly laundry experience. The machine is equipped with seven sensors that analyze fabric type, laundry quantity, dirt level, detergent dosage, water hardness, and temperature. These sensors help the machine automatically adjust washing settings for optimal results. The Hisense 7i features a 6.86-inch color touchscreen and can handle up to 12 kilograms of laundry in a 75-liter drum, making it suitable for most household needs. The washing machine includes a voice command feature through the AI Laundry Companion, which is part of the ConnectLife platform. This allows users to start washing programs, receive advice on treating stains, or get tips on washing delicate items. However, the voice command feature does not support scheduling a program to start at a later time. The AI Super Wash function, which uses the seven sensors, claims to reduce electricity consumption by 55% and water usage by 21% compared to standard washing programs, based on the manufacturer's tests. The Hisense 7i has a spin speed of up to 1,400 revolutions per minute and operates at a noise level of 70 decibels (dB), which qualifies it for an acoustic class A rating. It also holds an energy class A rating, with an estimated electricity consumption of 32 kWh for 100 cycles and approximately 43 liters of water per cycle when using the Eco 40-60 program. Additional features include steam functions for deep cleaning, an anti-allergy program, interior lighting, and specialized washing cycles for wool, sportswear, jeans, and delicate fabrics. The Hisense 7i is priced at 1,099 euros and requires a Wi-Fi connection to use the voice command feature. The machine also allows users to track their water and energy consumption through the ConnectLife app, helping them monitor and manage their usage more effectively. This smart washing machine aims to provide a blend of convenience, efficiency, and advanced technology for modern households.
