Sosh increases mobile plan price

Sosh, a low-cost mobile service under Orange, has announced a 3 € monthly increase for its main mobile plan, which will now include 5G and more data. The new plan, called "Série Sosh 130 Go," will cost 13.99 € per month starting November 17, 2026.

Customers can refuse the change

Those who do not want the upgrade have less than 30 days to decline it through their online account by clicking the "Renounce the proposal" button. This option is available before the change takes effect.

Sosh explains the price increase

Sosh says the increase is due to adding more data and 5G coverage, which it considers improvements to the service. The current 100 Go plan was previously priced at 10.99 € per month.

Other operators use similar methods

This approach is similar to other major mobile providers like SFR and Bouygues Telecom, which also change prices without asking customers for explicit approval. Sosh claims the new plan still offers good value compared to competitors.

5G and more data may not be urgent

The upgrade to 5G and more data is not seen as a major change, as average mobile data use in the second quarter of 2026 was 19.3 Go. Most users find 4G speeds sufficient for common activities like streaming and social media.
