Price reduction for gaming keyboard

The SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 gaming keyboard is now available for 179.99 € on Amazon, a significant reduction from its standard price of 249.99 €. This white version includes a wrist rest and a detachable USB cable, making it more convenient for extended use.

Customizable key switches

The keyboard features magnetic OmniPoint 3.0 switches, which let users adjust the activation threshold of the keys between 0.1 and 4 mm. This allows for customization of how deeply a key must be pressed to register a keystroke, offering a tailored experience for different gaming styles.

Enhanced responsiveness

The keyboard includes Rapid Trigger technology, which enables the keys to reset as soon as they return to their original position. This facilitates faster successive presses and direction changes, which can be crucial in fast-paced gaming scenarios.

TenKeyLess design

The TenKeyLess format of the keyboard omits a numeric keypad, freeing up space for mouse movement. It retains directional arrows, which are essential for many games but may be less useful for users who frequently handle numbers.

Integrated technologies

SteelSeries positions the Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 as one of the few keyboards that combine Rapid Trigger, Rapid Tap, and Protection Mode technologies. These features enhance responsiveness and reduce typing errors, though Rapid Tap is disabled in Counter-Strike 2 due to game restrictions.

Software and display features

The SteelSeries GG software and its QuickSet presets allow users to optimize configurations for different games and adjust the activation threshold of the magnetic switches. The keyboard also includes a small OLED screen for quick access to settings during gameplay.

Design considerations

The TenKeyLess design is ideal for gaming but may be less practical for users who rely on a numeric keypad. The wired connection is only available on the white version, and those who prefer wireless or need a numeric keypad may want to look at other models.

Target audience

The SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 is aimed at PC gamers, especially those who play competitive multiplayer titles where precise and fast input is essential. Its features are tailored to meet the needs of serious gamers who prioritize performance and customization.
