Adobe announced new artificial intelligence features for its Acrobat software on September 9, designed to help users quickly turn lengthy documents into summaries and presentations. The AI assistant can convert files into interactive reports complete with charts, images, and navigation tools, or transform them into slide decks. Users can request changes or edit the results directly, enabling them to prepare for meetings without having to rebuild each slide from scratch. Additionally, Acrobat now offers audio summaries and podcasts, allowing users to review documents while on the go. A new tool called Stylize is aimed at users who want to enhance documents like CVs, invoices, or reports without needing design skills. It suggests Adobe Express design templates that match the document’s purpose, redesigns the layout while keeping the original text and images intact, and allows users to tweak the final result if needed. Student Spaces, a new free tool for students worldwide, is now available in English. It converts handwritten notes into digital text, generates editable summary sheets, and adjusts quizzes based on user responses to help focus on areas needing more review. The tool is also accessible through the Acrobat app on Android devices, making it more convenient for mobile users. For businesses, Acrobat Studio introduces a new feature called Knowledge Base, which allows users to search through collections of documents, including those stored on platforms like SharePoint or Google Drive. Customer service representatives can find procedures from platforms like Slack or Teams, with answers linked back to the original text. Another feature, Analyzer, is designed for financial, procurement, and operations teams. It extracts specific information from thousands of documents, such as deadlines or contract clauses, and compiles the data into exportable tables for easier analysis.
