Bouygues Telecom launches B&YOU Pure, a fiber-optic internet service offering high-speed connectivity without a TV decoder or landline.
New internet service launched
Bouygues Telecom has launched the B&YOU Pure fibre service, which provides high-speed fiber-optic internet without including a TV decoder or fixed telephone. This focuses on delivering a strong, high-performance internet connection for modern use, such as streaming and online work.No TV decoder required
Users with a smart television can access streaming services like Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+, along with traditional TV channels, without needing a separate TV decoder or remote control. This setup works if users do not require specific features from their service provider.Central hub for devices
The service includes an internet box that acts as a central connection point for various devices, including computers, smartphones, gaming consoles, and smart speakers. This box must support multiple simultaneous activities, such as streaming, video conferencing, and gaming console updates.Speeds and pricing
The B&YOU Pure fibre service costs 24.99 euros per month with no long-term contract. It offers download speeds up to 2 Gb/s and upload speeds up to 900 Mb/s, though actual speeds depend on eligibility and equipment. The service also includes a Wi-Fi 7 compatible box and 24/7 assistance via an app and phone support for the first two months.Installation and refund options
The service is available to new fixed customers who can have fiber optic installed. Installation fees are 48 euros, but these are refundable until November 1st for subscriptions with fixed number portability. Bouygues Telecom also covers up to 100 euros of termination fees from the user’s previous provider, with refunds requested after subscription and supported by documents from the previous operator.
