Eugenio Chacarra's successful 2026 season

Eugenio Chacarra, a 26-year-old golfer from Spain, had his most successful season in 2026, winning three tournaments: the KLM Open, the Open d'Italia, and the DP World India Championship. He currently holds the top position in the Race to Dubai, a ranking that determines the winner of the season-long competition in European golf.

Training tool used by Chacarra

During practice at the Delhi Golf Club, Chacarra was seen using a training aid called the Strike Wedge. This device was created by instructors Chris Rose and Toby Williams to help golfers achieve more consistent ball contact during their swings.

Strike Wedge's popularity and versatility

The Strike Wedge is used across eight professional golf tours, and over 20,000 golfers have purchased it. According to the brand's website, the tool can be used in several ways, such as placing it behind the ball to prevent hitting it on the downward swing or positioning it near the toe of the club if a player tends to hit the ball with the heel.

Chacarra's performance improvement

Chacarra's performance in 2026 shows a marked improvement compared to 2025, when he finished 36th in the Race to Dubai. His average drive distance increased from 272 to 284 meters, and his greens-in-regulation percentage rose from 66.42% (91st in the ranking) to 71.25% (13th).

No direct link found between the Strike Wedge and performance

Despite the improvements in his game, no cause-and-effect relationship has been established between the use of the Strike Wedge and Chacarra's enhanced performance.
