Pixel 11 launch and pricing

The Pixel 11, the entry-level model of the Pixel 11 series, was launched on August 20 and is priced lower than the Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. It features a 6.3-inch screen, the same form factor as the Pixel 11 Pro, and retains the essential features.

Hardware and storage options

The device includes a 5x telephoto lens introduced with the Pixel 10, the new Tensor G6 chip, and Android 17. The 256 GB version is priced at 999 euros, while the 512 GB version is priced at 1,129 euros. This is 100 euros higher than the Pixel 10 (899 euros), which still offered a 128 GB version.

Current price reduction

A 200 euro reduction on the 512 GB version is currently available, bringing its price down to 929 euros at Amazon, with a reference price of 1,129 euros.

Photography features

The Pixel 11's photography capabilities are highlighted as a major strength, with the 5x telephoto lens providing clear results even when pushing the digital zoom up to 30x (maximum 20x on the Pixel 10). The wide-angle sensor has been enlarged to 48 megapixels (1/1.56 inch, compared to 1/2 inch on the Pixel 10), and tests confirm that wide-angle photos and selfies are of good quality.

AI features and missing functions

The device uses software with a lot of AI, with Magic Capture and Creator Video mode being the most successful features. Automatic transcription and translation of voice messages are genuinely useful in daily life. However, the HiLight feature, which includes colored LEDs to prevent users from looking at the screen, is missing on the Pixel 11 and is reserved for the Pixel 11 Pro models.

Display and charging capabilities

The Pixel 11's screen reaches up to 3,000 nits in peak brightness (2,000 nits in HDR), which is a good point. However, the OLED screen is not LTPO, a technology reserved for the Pro models. Charging is another limitation, with Google claiming faster wireless charging (up to 25 watts with Pixelsnap, compared to 15 watts on the Pixel 10), but wired and wireless charging remain slow for its price.

Lack of Wi-Fi 7 support

Google promises about 55% in 30 minutes with a 30-watt charger, sold separately. The device does not support Wi-Fi 7.

Black Friday 2026 promotions

Black Friday 2026 is being positioned as an extended period of promotions, referred to as "Black Month." This is a good time for end-of-year purchases, and various offers are available at retailers such as Boulanger, covering smartphones, TVs, laptops, and audio equipment.
