Bordeaux Tasting returns for its 15th edition, offering wine enthusiasts a weekend of masterclasses, tastings, and discussions on the future of Bordeaux and French wine.
Bordeaux Tasting event dates confirmed
The fifteenth edition of the Bordeaux Tasting trade fair, organized by Terre de Vins, will take place on December 12th and 13th. The event will highlight the best of French winemaking, featuring Bordeaux and other wine regions.
Masterclasses led by Terre de Vins editors
Seven masterclasses will be led by Terre de Vins chief editors Yves Tesson and Mathieu Doumenge. Topics include a vertical tasting of Château Cos d'Estournel's vintages from 2010 and a session on the identity of right-bank wines from Château Canon.
Other wine regions to be represented
The event will also feature contributions from other French wine regions. Champagne’s Maison Veuve Clicquot will offer a masterclass on pinot noir, and Burgundy’s Maison Louis Latour will explore the Corton hill. Stéphane Ogier will discuss Côte-Rôtie wines from 2016 to 2021.
Interactive workshops for attendees
Workshops will provide a relaxed approach to wine, including sessions where attendees can discover their "white wine" and "red wine" identities. The Pomerol appellation will also offer a tour of notable vineyards with tastings of its famous red Bordeaux wines.
Cafe de la Bourse discussions
The cafe de la Bourse will host free discussions on wine-related topics, including questions about the future of Bordeaux and the concept of "contemporary Bordeaux." These sessions will require registration and include wine tastings.
Entertainment and food events
Throughout the weekend, various animations will showcase different aspects of the wine world and gastronomy. The regional selection of the French Shellfish Championship will take place on December 12th, featuring high-level shellfish competitions at the Palais de la Bourse.
