Konami reports record revenue

Konami, a Japanese video game publisher, has announced record revenue for its first fiscal semester, which runs from April to September 2026. The company reported revenue of 1.7 billion euros, along with operating and net profits that also set new company records for this period.

Konami raises annual targets

Based on the strong first-half performance, Konami has increased its financial goals for the full fiscal year, which runs from April 2026 to March 2027. The publisher now expects revenue of 3.3 billion euros and a net profit of 767 million euros, both of which are higher than previously anticipated and represent new records for the company.

New game releases contribute to success

During the first half of the fiscal year, Konami released several new titles, including Silent Hill Townfall and a compilation of Goemon and Suikoden Star Leap. These games were released in Japan first and are expected to be available in other regions later.

Free-to-play franchises drive growth

Konami attributes its strong financial performance to the continued success of its free-to-play games eFootball and Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel. The latter, released in January 2022, has now surpassed 100 million downloads worldwide.

New projects in development

With its improved financial position, Konami plans to invest in new projects, including the RPG Rev. NOiR, the action-adventure game Rhapsody in Scarlet, and a new Castlevania title called Castlevania: Belmont's Curse. These projects aim to expand the company's portfolio and attract new audiences.
