Event in La Ricamarie

The city of La Ricamarie in the Loire department is hosting a "breastfeeding support meeting" aimed at young or future parents on Friday, October 16, at the Relais petite enfance. The event, organized by the Ref'lait association as part of its "Thétées Allaitement" program, is scheduled from 2 pm to 4 pm and will be led by breastfeeding counselors from the group Les Voix Lactées, in the presence of lactation consultants from the Ref’lait association, according to a Facebook post by the municipality.

Program details

The "Thétées Allaitement" program offers itinerant, free, and convivial meetings in the Loire. This month, members of Ref'lait have already visited Saint-Étienne on October 2 and 6, and the mother-child pole in Montbrison on October 9. Other meetings are planned in the coming weeks, including visits to the MJC of Boën-sur-Lignon on October 17, Saint-Genest-Malifaux on October 23, the Relais petite enfance of Roche la Molière on October 26, and the private hospital of the Loire in Saint-Étienne on October 29.

Additional workshops

Workshops are also planned in partnership with the association, including those at the social center of Saint-Chamond, Roanne on October 15, and Andrézieux on October 23. These sessions aim to provide practical support and information to parents and future parents about breastfeeding and related topics.

The initiative reflects a broader effort by local organizations to support new parents through accessible and community-based programs. The events are designed to be informal and welcoming, encouraging open discussion and shared experiences among participants.
