New ITF W15 tournaments in Paris

The French Tennis Federation (FFT) has announced plans to introduce two new ITF W15 tournaments in Paris in 2026, starting on November 9 and November 16. These events will take place at the Centre national d'entraînement (CNE) and will be held on indoor hard courts.

Tournament structure and purpose

Each of the Parisian tournaments will use three courts for competition and one for training. The initiative aims to help young French players gain experience on the professional circuit and earn their first points in the WTA rankings.

Expansion to other French cities in 2027

In addition to Paris, the FFT plans to host six new W15 tournaments in 2027, spread across six different French cities. These locations include Reims, Deauville, Lagord, La Grande-Motte, L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, and Azay-le-Rideau.

Variety of court surfaces and goals

Three of the 2027 tournaments will be played on clay courts, and three on hard courts. This expansion aims to increase the availability of professional women’s tennis events in France and give players more opportunities to compete near their homes on different surfaces and at various times of the year.

Current and future tournament levels in France

In 2026, France will host 11 W15 tournaments and 18 W35 tournaments. The FFT plans to continue developing the intermediate levels of the professional circuit, including moving the W35 tournament in Nice to the W50 category. The exact dates for the 2027 tournaments have not yet been announced.
