London has experienced a wave of exciting new restaurant openings across the city in just one week, with each neighborhood getting its share of fresh culinary additions. Notting Hill welcomed Nakimushi, a new venture from chef Chris D’Sylva, known for his Michelin-starred restaurants. Soho saw the transformation of Beefbar, now offering wagyu shepherd’s pie, while Knightsbridge hosted the debut of Le Cafe LPM, a new cafe concept from La Petite Maison. Meanwhile, Marylebone and Hackney added Manna and Marrion’s, respectively, each bringing their own unique flavors to the table. Nakimushi, located in Notting Hill, features two distinct Japanese concepts. On the ground floor is Robin’s Ramen, offering dishes like lobster ramen with seafood paitan and pork belly ramen with Basque chicken broth. Upstairs, Yuji Shimokawa Kelly’s serves quail tempura, steamed turbot, and grilled tuna collar. The restaurant also includes a third floor dedicated to food preparation and storage. The drinks menu focuses on traditional Japanese spirits like shochu and sake. Nakimushi will open on 7 September at 7 Kensington Mall. Beefbar, previously known as Dear Jackie, has rebranded as an international steakhouse in Soho, created by chef Riccardo Giraudi. The menu includes wagyu kebabs, king crab tacos, and a new wagyu shepherd’s pie, which is a London-specific addition. The restaurant also features a redesigned terrace and will open from noon. Beefbar is set to open on 10 September at 20 Broadwick Street. In Hackney, Marrion’s, the new venture from Elliott Kaye, offers a range of comfort foods like devilled crab rarebit and moules frites. The restaurant is designed to be more affordable, with prices ranging from £6 to £16 for food, and cocktails priced between £12 and £15. Marrion’s opens on 10 September at 177 Morning Lane. Le Cafe LPM, the first standalone cafe from La Petite Maison, is opening at The Lanesborough in Knightsbridge. The cafe offers a relaxed all-day experience with a menu that includes a £9 espresso, £12 fries, and a £34 croque monsieur. The concept is starting with a year-long residency before planning to expand to Dubai. It opens on 9 September at The Lanesborough. Din Tai Fung, the popular dumpling chain, is set to open its fifth London restaurant in King’s Cross in December 2026, taking over the former Babel Beerhouse. The new location will have 160 indoor and 30 outdoor seats, with a show kitchen for dumpling-making. The menu includes over 70 dishes, including the famous xiao long bao. Meanwhile, Manna, the first standalone UK restaurant from the smashburger brand, opened in Marylebone on 4 September, offering smashed beef patties and new desserts like a colorful trifle.
