RTM introduces new ticket prices starting November 1, including higher Solo fares and new subscription options for specific groups.
Ticket prices increase in RTM
Starting from November 1, the Solo ticket of the RTM will increase from 1.70 to 2 euros, while a trip on a rechargeable card will cost 1.60 euro. This change affects individual rides and the cost of using a reusable card for public transportation.Monthly subscription cost set
The permanent subscription for all the public in the blue zone will be set at 45.70 euros per month. This subscription likely provides unlimited travel within the designated area for a fixed monthly fee.Discounted annual subscription available
The new pricing also provides an annual subscription at 20 euros for certain groups, including young scholarship recipients, non-taxable seniors, and recipients of the adult disability allowance. This option aims to offer financial relief to specific vulnerable or low-income groups.Gradual end to free fares for seniors
The end of the free fare for people over 65 years old will be gradual. This suggests that the transition to a paid fare system for seniors will be implemented in stages rather than all at once.
