Art installation explores time and perception
Remains, an immersive art installation by associate artist Éric Arnal-Burtschy, invites participants to engage with themes of time, life, and perception through a sensory experience inspired by the ancient sanctuary of Dodone in Greece. The installation is the third in a trilogy of immersive works that do not include live performers.Participants lie under a suspended tree
The experience involves participants lying under a suspended tree while being surrounded by light, sound, vibrations, and scents. This multisensory environment guides them through a wordless ritual that challenges the idea that humans are the center of all experiences.Collaborators and technical support
The project includes contributions from sound creator Thomas Turine, technical director Christophe Vanhove, and programming by Kevin Alf Jaspar and Pascal Demez (DRUW_Audio). Structural engineering is provided by Dirk Jaspaert (BAS bvba), with scientific advisory from Jérôme Buridant (Laboratoire EDYSAN, CNRS) and Sarah Rey (Université Polytechnique – Hauts-de-France). The scent design is by Géradine Savary and Léa Broche (URCOM – Unité de Recherche en Chimie Organique et Macromoléculaire (CNRS), Université Le Havre Normandie).Funding and production partners
