DS Automobiles unveils F3ver concept

DS Automobiles revealed the F3ver concept car at the Paris Motor Show, positioning it as a preview of a future DS N°3 model. The concept is described as an "exploratory concept" meant to explore the brand's future design direction and elicit an emotional response from viewers.

F3ver’s dimensions and features

The F3ver measures 4.19 meters in length, 1.84 meters in width, and 1.46 meters in height, with a 2.70-meter wheelbase. It also offers a trunk capacity of 400 liters, emphasizing practicality alongside its design focus.

Design innovations on display

The concept car introduces a new vertical "totem" at the front, replacing the traditional horizontal grille. This totem includes an illuminated logo and a Y-shaped lighting signature. At the rear, a second totem features a digitalized DS logo and multidimensional lights composed of 16 LED panels.

Personalization and color choices

The F3ver concept emphasizes personalization, offering a personalized license plate ring and a two-tone design that extends to the rear lights, tailgate panel, and bumper. The exterior color, "Cosmic Blue," is dichroic, changing shade from brilliant blue to violet depending on the light.

Platform and future production

The F3ver concept is built on the STLA One platform, which will also be used for the future Peugeot E-208. While the concept is not an official model announcement, it serves as a laboratory for future designs and may lead to a new compact model introduced as early as 2028.

Brand strategy and goals

DS Automobiles, facing challenges with sales, aims to find a growth path through this concept. The goal is to create a new compact model that combines the brand's stylistic identity with versatility and cost-effective design, potentially launching in the near future.
