DS 3 to return to original design

The DS 3, a French car model, is set to return to its original form with a new generation expected to launch in 2028. This new version will abandon the current model's suspension system and return to a lower, more compact city car design.

DS F3VER concept unveiled

During the Paris Motor Show, the French brand DS revealed the DS F3VER concept, which serves as a preview of the upcoming DS 3. This concept car marks a shift away from the current model's suspension setup and highlights a return to a more traditional city car silhouette.

DS 3 Crossback's commercial struggles

In 2018, DS rebranded the DS 3 as a five-door urban crossover called the Crossback, adapting to the growing popularity of SUVs. However, this version has faced commercial challenges and has not matched the success of the original DS 3 despite a restyling in 2022.

Future DS 3 dimensions and design

The upcoming DS 3 will be 4.19 meters long, 1.46 meters high, and 1.84 meters wide, with a 2.70-meter wheelbase. Its design will feature inflated wings, marked shoulders, and a sloping rear window, aiming to blend style with practicality for urban driving.

DS F3VER based on STLA One platform

The DS F3VER concept is built on the STLA One platform, which will also be used for the future Peugeot E-208 and other Stellantis vehicles. This platform supports fully electric and hybrid powertrains, offering flexibility for the DS 3's future powertrain options.

STLA One platform benefits

By using the STLA One platform, DS aims to reduce development costs and streamline the design process. This platform also allows for the integration of the latest technologies from the Stellantis group, ensuring the new DS 3 is technologically advanced and competitive in the market.
