Toy donation campaign starts in Haute-Garonne

A large toy donation campaign is being organized in the Haute-Garonne region from November 1 to November 30. The initiative aims to collect used toys and games from residents, regardless of their condition, to be given to those in need.

Multiple communities lead the effort

The campaign is led by three communities of communes: Coeur de Garonne, Coeur et Coteaux du Comminges, and Val Aïgo. These local groups are working together to organize the collection and distribution of toys across the region.

Collection points across the region

Residents can donate toys and games at various collection points, including stores, post offices, and local associations. The items collected range from electrical and electronic toys to board games, outdoor toys, and gift toys from children's menus or magazines.

Toys are sorted and reused or recycled

Once collected, the toys are sorted, cleaned, and restored by Ecomaison and ecosystem. These organizations then distribute the toys to social action services and local associations, such as Château des Partages, l'Épicerie Solid'Air, Occitalien, and un Toit pour Toi.

National impact of the campaign

In 2025, nearly 150 tonnes of toys were collected nationwide through 2,500 collection points. Of these, about two-thirds were reused, while the rest were recycled, highlighting the campaign’s significant environmental and social impact.
