Samsung HW-Q930H soundbar update

The Samsung HW-Q930H soundbar, which has received a "5 stars" rating, is currently available for 583.99 euros at Cdiscount. This model is nearly identical to the previous HW-Q935F, with only a few additional software features.

Minimal changes to a strong product

The HW-Q930H represents a routine update to an already impressive home cinema system. It maintains a strong price-to-quality ratio and continues to offer a compelling audio experience despite only minor changes.

Sound performance and features

The soundbar delivers precise and balanced sound with excellent lateral spatialization, creating an immersive sound scene. It also includes a powerful subwoofer and good build quality, though Dolby Atmos effects could be improved.

Limitations and drawbacks

Despite its strengths, the HW-Q930H has some notable drawbacks. The soundstage lacks homogeneity on the sides, and it is incompatible with 4K/120 Hz, VRR, and ALLM. The 2026 updates are considered trivial and mostly optional.

Design and user experience

The soundbar’s design is unobjectionable, and the three new features introduced are mainly optional. Some functions, like Auto Volume, need to be disabled in most cases, and while Sound Elevation adds a sense of height, it slightly reduces audio fidelity.

Comparison with the HW-QS90H

The Samsung HW-QS90H is the first model in the Q-Series range and offers an immersive all-in-one soundbar experience. It reproduces soundtracks with deep and generous bass without needing an external subwoofer.

Limitations of the HW-QS90H

While the HW-QS90H provides convincing spatialization, it has some limitations, including a slightly imperfect separation of low frequencies and a minimalist display. Its HDMI input is limited to 4K/60 Hz, which may be a drawback for some users.
