MSC Cruises has announced a global agreement with the America's Cup, a prestigious sailing competition, naming itself the "Global Cruises Partner" for the event. This partnership will give MSC Cruises visibility across all parts of the competition, including early races, the Youth America's Cup, the Women's America's Cup, and the final stages. The agreement is part of MSC Cruises' broader strategy to increase brand awareness and connect with new audiences in key global markets. MSC Cruises has previously partnered with high-profile sporting events and teams, including a global partnership with Formula 1, a Premium Partner status with the BWT Alpine Formula One Team, and a partnership with the Tudor Pro Cycling Team. The new agreement with the America's Cup strengthens MSC Cruises' presence around an event closely tied to its Mediterranean identity and maritime heritage. This partnership also builds on existing links between the MSC Group's Cruises division and the America's Cup. In 2024, Explora Journeys, the luxury cruise brand under the MSC Group, was the Global Partner of the Louis Vuitton 37th America's Cup held in Barcelona. At the same time, Explora Journeys was also a partner of Emirates Team New Zealand. With the 38th edition of the America's Cup set to take place in Naples, MSC Cruises is now directly involved in the competition's partnership program, aiming for visibility across the events scheduled for the 2027 calendar. Other recent developments include the launch of MSC World Asia in the French market, the cancellation of Explora Journeys cruises in the Middle East for the winter of 2027-2028, the operation of MSC World Europa in the Mediterranean, and MSC World Asia sailing in the Caribbean for the same winter period. Additionally, MSC Cruises has begun accepting reservations for its summer 2028 season in Alaska.
